The summer getaway might be a little different this year. However, choosing to stay home doesn’t mean you can’t have holiday fun! Themed crafts can transport you and your little one to just about anywhere. This foil painting craft is perfect for those of us missing the charm of camping!
To really get you and your little ones in the camper spirit, we recommend enjoying this activity with a big bag of marshmallows and some spooky ghost stories!
This painting method is so simple but very effective. The crinkled tin foil has an amazing texture that your kids will love to experiment and play with. Just make sure you lay down newspaper in case of any accidental spillages!
1 To start a fire you’ll need some fuel! To make the campfire sticks cut strips of brown paper or card and glue them to your sheet of paper.
2 To make the fiery paint, squeeze equal amounts of red, orange and yellow paint onto a plate.
3 Scrunch and squish a length of tin foil into a bumpy shape with lots of different levels. Dip the tin foil into the paint and then dab the foil above the campfire sticks.
4 Keep adding dabs of paint to bring the blazing campfire into life!
We hope you have fun making this camping inspired craft! Be sure to share your flame-tastic artworks on social media, we always love to see happy campers!
