It’s back to school time! Starting back at school might be a little different this year, but one thing is certain to stay the same; the mad rush mornings!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it’s not particularly helpful that it happens at the most hectic time! Trying to convince a fussy eater to finish what’s on their plate is the last thing you need when trying to get everyone ready for the day. Fortunately, this peanut butter bear toast is a tasty, fun treat that even the pickiest of eaters will gladly polish off! Breakfast bears are packed with protein and are a nutritious, filling breakfast that will set them up for a day of learning and playing.
You may find that chopping the bananas the night before (and storing them in the fridge in an airtight container) makes this breakfast even easier to serve. If the bananas are pre-chopped then the kids can assemble their own bear faces without adult help, which is a great way to introduce them to independently preparing their own breakfast.
We wish all our toucanoos the best of luck when starting the new school year. We hope they learn amazing things, have lots of fun, and enjoy gobbling up their peanut butter bears! ## Let’s Make It
1 Toast a slice of bread. Then spread peanut butter on the slice of toast.
2 Add a slice of banana to the middle of the toast to make a nose. Add two slices of banana to the corners of the toast to make ears.
3 Add a blueberry to the middle of the banana nose. Add two blueberries either side of the nose to make eyes.
4 Serve with orange juice and enjoy with your baby bear!
Peanut butter bears aren’t just for breakfast, they’re also great as an afternoon snack or lunchtime treat. Be sure to show us your peanut butter bears on social media, we’re so excited for you to try them out!
